This Mineral Might Be the Natural Solution for ED

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is defined as having difficulty getting or maintaining an erection more than 50% of sexual encounters, according to The Cleveland Clinic.

Although ED increases with age, it may affect approximately 26% of men under the age of 40, according to a study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine

Hormonal imbalances are linked to Erectile Dysfunction, as well, and it’s not just testosterone. Studies have shown that men with higher estradiol levels had a reduction in spontaneous and nocturnal penile erections. Over 88% of study participants who were under 40 years old with elevated estradiol levels also had erectile dysfunction.

Obesity was linked to erectile dysfunction too,  which was thought to be related to estradiol levels, since fat is estrogen-producing. Waist circumference which accounts for visceral fat was associated with an increase in erectile dysfunction.

These studies demonstrate that boron may be a vital tool in managing erectile dysfunction that is caused by hormonal imbalance, such as low testosterone and estrogen dominance. Boron also reduced c-reactive protein levels by more than 50%.  

 


It is believed that boron works by allowing more free testosterone to bind with proteins in the blood, which provides anti-aging benefits including reducing symptoms of erectile dysfunction.

Since boron also helps the body to absorb and utilize vitamin D more efficiently, and research suggests that optimal vitamin D levels are linked to reducing erectile dysfunction, boron may be useful in conjunction with vitamin D and magnesium supplementation for the management of ED.
