The main goal was to develop a hypoallergenic, sugar/stevia-free, vegan protein powder with the right amino acids. All roads led to utilizing Canadian yellow peas. Our source of pea protein is high in lysine which is usually deficient in rice proteins. Lysine cannot be made in the body and must therefore be consumed through the diet. After exhaustive research, we determined a pea-based protein powder combined with the balanced amino acid profile while being sweetened only with monk fruit was the clear winner in health benefits and overall taste. The result of months of formulating was the absolute highest quality, “clean”, healthy and great-tasting protein shake available today.
