Two weeks ago, I wrote a blog “Fighting the Flu.” In it I detail ways that you can avoid the flu or at least weaken it’s effects and duration. I listed several natural immune boasters: Elderberry Extract, Oregano Oil and Grapefruit Extract. Since my post, the flu has continued to plague us. My daughter living in California, called me last week. Josh, her youngest son, came down with the flu at camp. When he returned home, he shared it with the family. She purchased a couple of bottles of Elderberry Extract, but with five people taking it several times a day, this didn’t last long. When she attempted to buy more, the shelves were bare. Seems everyone had the same idea. Obviously, the best prevention is to have enough remedy on hand in case the ENTIRE family gets sick. I have two bottles on hand at all times, but there’s just two of us.
Healthy Flu Shots
Juice of 6 fresh lemons
1 bulb garlic (not a clove)
2 teaspoons ginger powder (or 2 tablespoons chopped ginger)
2 tablespoons honey
3 cups pineapple juice
¼ cayenne pepper
1. Mix all ingredients in a blender on high, until thoroughly blended. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
2. Drink 1 cup 4 times a day until the symptoms are resolved.
